Foam Workshop Modelling

Spending the day looking at the design of the bracelet, how it could be formed.

The forms that were tested were hard edged forms representing the harshness of the world and its unpredictability.

Other forms were a “hand holding” motion of two interlocking pieces.

The last form represents the idea of embracing someone, a peaceful message.

Made from a porous wood such as pine or cedar (cedar being used for moth balls traditionally) in order to absorb the liquid scent.

I will go and visit “Otto’s & Co” Timber Suppliers in Stepney and “Fitch The Rubber Man” in George Street to investigate how this bracelet can put on and on. If itll need a clasp or elastic band.
